Multiple fluorite specimens with unique ”inclusions” were found in Vietnam in 2008 and 2012. These inclusions were later found to be dark purple color concentrations—tricking the eye! One such fluorite from this find resides in the National Gem Collection at the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History in Washington, DC.
