A Gemological Pioneer - Dr. Edward J. Gueblin


Dr. Edward J. Gueblin was the father of modern gemology. He passed away in 2005 after a long and illustrious career in which he developed the first systematic classifications of inclusions in natural gem minerals and his research cemented the importance of analyzing inclusions to identify and determine the country of origin in gemstones.
