In November 2018, AGL was asked to identify three rough gems that were bicoloured orange-brown, yellowish green and bicolored colourless-white as seen on the left. They were represented by the supplier as natural stones from a new discovery in Turkey,

Although represented as being natural stones from a new discovery in Turkey, these samples were identified as synthetic periclase.
