Nigeria as a New Source of Copper-Manganese-Bearing Tourmaline

In 2001, a new deposit of colored tourmalines in a wide range of colors was discovered in Nigeria.

These six samples (0.69-1.44 ct) show a range of colors from the new tourmaline deposit in Nigeria. All of them were identified as copper-manganese tourmaline by EDXRF qualitative chemical analysis.
