Adularia is a hydrothermal low-temperature variety of orthoclase. It’s rare nowadays to come across gem-quality adularia from the Zillertal Alps, Tirol, Austria. AGL had the opportunity to examine two stones reportedly from the Austrian deposit.

The research was published in the The Journal of Gemmology, Vol 34, No 3, 2014. pp 190.
