Yellow fluid inclusions in a pink spinel proved to be petroleum when examined by the AGL. This was the first time that such an inclusion has been identified in spinel. Unfortunately when originally published, the origin of the spinel was incorrectly indicated as Sri Lanka. The gem was actually from Mogok, Burma (Myanmar). The lab note was published in the Journal of Gemmology, Vol 35(1), 2016 pp 20-21. Similar petroleum inclusions have also been found in rock crystal quartz from Pakistan.
